Selection Of Installed OPUS Systems

Winchester City Council

Sub-contracted by Multiform Services to supply Opus PC2000 SCADA system software. A single Master station is installed communicating with 25 TCMP compatible data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.

Leicester City Council

Sub-contracted by Multiform Services to supply Opus PC2000 SCADA system software. A single Master station is installed communicating with TCMP compatible outstations to provide flood warning. Pager alarm dial out facilities were provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.

Sutton District Water Company - Cheam and Woodmansterne Works

Sub-contracted by Simon Automation Ltd to supply all SCADA system hardware and software for the Cheam Operations Control and Woodmansterne Works Control sites. Each site consisted of main and hot-standby Opus PC2 Master stations with between one and three graphic workstation users. The Woodmansterne system acted as a Sub-Master station to the Cheam site and was responsible for supervising the control of the treatment works and communicating with local Siemens PLCs. The Woodmansterne system also supported two remote controllers and three data acquisition units, supplied and installed by Simon Automation Ltd.

The supplied bespoke software monitored the water quality and performed emergency plant shutdown when necessary. The system was equipped with a schedule manager software package, which facilitated the creation and transfer of daily operating schedules to the Siemens PLCs up to a week in advance. A portable field test unit was also provided to acquire data from remote sites in the event of failure and to allow the transfer of all necessary operating schedules.

National Rivers Authority - South West Region

Main and cold standby Opus PC2 SCADA Master stations were installed at the Exeter offices of the region's National River Authority. The system supported three local and one remote graphic workstation user and communicated with numerous Dynamic Logic and Penny and Giles outstations via several Front End Processor systems. Special bespoke software was developed to support user defined polling rotas. This rota handling allowed for efficient communications in the event of certain flood conditions. Bespoke rainfall integration software was also supplied to maintain various rainfall statistics within the Master station's database. The local area network provided a link between the Master station and the company's VAX based database server.

Canterbury City Council

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station was installed to communicate with DTS TG1050 data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were also provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.

Southern Water

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system hardware and software for the Operations Control Centre located at Chatham. This Master station communicated with over 800 DTS TG1050 data loggers and was supplied, installed and commissioned within an 8 week period.

Sheffield City Council

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station was installed to communicate with DTS Series 4 and 9 Opus TCMP compatible data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were also provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.

Fylde Borough Council

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station was installed to communicate with DTS TG1050 data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.

Tolo Harbour, Hong Kong

Sub-contracted by Engineering Expertise Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station was installed supporting three advanced graphic workstations and communicating with Siemens PLCs.

NOSWA - Western Isles

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system hardware and software. Two Master station sites were installed at Stornoway and Benbecula communicating with DTS TG1050A data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were provided on the system to accommodate 'out of hours' operation. This system was later upgraded to PC2000 and expanded to communicate with up to 200 outstations at Stornoway and up to 50 stations at the Benbecula site. The upgraded system also made use of Scottish Water's wide area network for general data acquisition and to support two remote advanced graphic workstations located in the Dundee office.

British Waterways, Leeds

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system hardware and software. A single Master station was installed communicating with DTS data loggers.

Orkney Islands Council - System A

Sub-contracted by Penny and Giles Instrumentation Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station and graphic workstation were installed.

Orkney Islands Council - System B

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system hardware and software. A single Master station was installed communicating with DTS data loggers.

Blackpool Borough Council

Sub-contracted by Delta Technical Services Ltd to supply Opus PC2 SCADA system software. A single Master station was installed communicating with up to 50 TCMP compatible data loggers. Pager alarm dial out facilities were provided to accommodate 'out of hours' operation.
